Agents will learn the roles of appraisal districts and taxing authorities, how tax rates and property values are determined, and how exemptions and caps affect taxable value. The course also addresses common challenges such as estimating property taxes, understanding overlapping taxing jurisdictions, and preparing buyers for changes after closing. Additionally, agents will gain insight into property tax protests and how to appropriately support clients while remaining within their scope of practice. This course is designed to improve accuracy in transaction guidance and help agents avoid common issues that can affect affordability and closing outcomes.
