Course ID: 06339-RECE | 2 Hours CE Credit | Instructor: Meagan Campion | Accurately locating and mapping property is one of the most important — and often overlooked — skills in Texas real estate, particularly in farm, ranch, and rural land transactions. Misidentifying property boundaries or relying on incomplete mapping information can lead to confusion, delays, and potential liability for license holders. This course provides real estate professionals with a practical understanding of how to properly locate and map properties using modern tools and resources. Participants will explore commonly used mapping platforms, public data sources, and techniques that help verify property locations, boundaries, access points, and surrounding features. Designed with land transactions in mind, the course focuses on helping license holders develop confidence in identifying property locations, interpreting mapping data, and communicating accurate information to buyers and sellers. By strengthening these skills, real estate professionals will be better equipped to avoid common mistakes, support informed decision-making, and provide a higher level of service to their clients.
